A murderer lurked here for a long time. Clifford Mac Ritter, a killer of two, existed here for more than two decades before he would kill again.
On May 13, 2009 Clifford killed my friend. He shot him down for no reason. It was a senseless murder of a good man, a good father, who didn't have an unkind bone in his body.
Clifford's family knew he would kill again. Nobody was surprised when the police came after the shotgun blasts were fired. The neighbors knew to stay away from this monster.
Why didn't my friend know?
Why was this monster living freely?
Why did he serve a total of five years in prison, over a period of fifteen years, only to be unleashed to society to kill again?
Brinks, AR is on the fringes of civilization....
But why was my friend murdered there?
